Description
How it works
A flexible diaphragm separates the system water from a cushion of nitrogen. As the water heats and expands, it compresses the nitrogen; as it cools, the nitrogen pushes the water back. A Prescor safety valve opens if pressure ever rises too high.
Key features
- Sizes from 2 to 8,000 litres, with a wide choice of pre-pressures
- Prevents water loss, internal corrosion and pump damage
- High-quality diaphragms (SBR or butyl rubber), suitable for use with anti-freeze
- Steel vessels with a red epoxy coating; vessel halves coated before assembly so the clamp area cannot rust
- Very low diaphragm permeability, so pre-pressure holds
- Flexcon M models (larger sizes) have a replaceable diaphragm and pressure gauge
- Quick installation; can be placed anywhere in the system
Ranges
| Range | Use | Max working pressure |
| Flexcon C / CE | Standard heating and cooling | 3 bar (2–80 L); higher on larger models |
| Flexcon Top | High pressure systems | 6 bar (8–80 L) |
| Flexcon Solar | Solar heating installations | 8 bar (8–80 L), 10 bar (110–1,000 L) |
| Flexcon M | Large systems, exchangeable diaphragm | [confirm] |
| Flexcon V-B | Intermediate vessel for supply temperatures up to 160°C | 6 or 10 bar |
