Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger

High heat transfer in a compact frame that opens for cleaning and expands as your plant grows. Built with Kelvion plates.

Description

How it works

A pack of thin, corrugated plates is clamped between a fixed frame plate and a movable pressure plate with tightening bolts. Gaskets on each plate seal the channels and route the hot and cold media through alternate gaps, so the two fluids flow in opposite directions without ever mixing. The corrugations create turbulence, which gives a high heat transfer rate even at very small temperature differences.

Key features

FAQs

What is the advantage over a shell and tube heat exchanger? Higher heat transfer in a much smaller footprint, lower investment cost, and the unit can be opened for cleaning or extended with more plates.

Can NKR size the exchanger for my process? Yes. Share both fluids, their flow rates and inlet and outlet temperatures, and our engineers will recommend the right plate type and size.
