Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger

(1 customer review)

Hermetically sealed, maintenance-free heat exchanger for high operating temperatures and pressures.
Overview
When space is tight and the fluids are clean, a brazed plate heat exchanger is the most compact and economical choice. With no gaskets to wear out, it handles high temperatures and pressures and needs almost no maintenance. Kelvion’s brazed range covers 7 basic types in 58 standard versions.

Description

How it works
Stainless steel plates with a corrugated profile are brazed together with copper into one sealed pack. The hot and cold media flow through alternate channels, exchanging heat across the thin plates, just as in a gasketed unit but in a permanently sealed body.

FAQs
Brazed or gasketed: which do I need? Choose brazed for clean fluids, high pressure and a sealed, maintenance-free unit. Choose gasketed if you need to open the unit for cleaning or change its capacity later.
Can a brazed unit be cleaned? It cannot be opened, but it can be cleaned in place by circulating a cleaning solution through it.
